Marian Mennen Obituary
Marian C. Mennen, (nee Egan), Kimberly, age 93, died peacefully on Thursday February 5, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born November 22, 1921 in Appleton, WI, daughter of the late David and Marie (Huss) Egan. On April 23, 1949 Marian married Giles Mennen at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Kaukauna. The couple lived in Kimberly their entire married lives and enjoyed 38 years of marriage together prior to his death in 1987. Marian was a member of Holy Spirit Parish at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Kimberly and the Kimberly Homemakers.
She is survived by her children: Mary Jo (Tom) Albrecht, Shawano, Mark (Mikyung) Mennen, Menasha, Tom Mennen, Kaukauna and David (Christine) Mennen, Shakopee, MN; grandchildren: David and Joshua Mennen, Ethan, Carson and Ryan Mennen; brother, Cleon Egan, Kaukauna; numerous nieces, nephews and friends who were so kind to Marian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Giles; an infant son and daughter; and a sister-in-law, Betty Egan. She is further preceded in death by her husband's brother and 4 sisters.
A Memorial Mass for Marian will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. February 9, 2015 at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 602 E. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. Friends may call directly at church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Kimberly YMCA or the Thompson Center. The family would like to express sincere thanks to all her caregivers, especially Katie O. and Katie, for their compassionate care and concern. Also thank you to family, friends and neighbors who helped Marian these last few years.

My dear lovely cousin has passed on to heaven. Has always been so special to me . As a very young girl spent numerous times at her house with Aunt Marie, Uncle Dade & brother Cleon. A second family to me. So happy all of us Huss girls spent time with Marion very recently before her passing. And what a beautiful family she raised...Mary Jo, Tom, Mark, Dave. All in my heart! She will be missed but now sharing with her husband Giles, mom &dad, my mom & dad, and many others she so fondly cared about. Rest in peace Marion...love you. Ginny Huss Recla

I'm really going to miss you Mrs. M!! I loved not only being your maid but also your friend. It was a privilege to be part of your life. Tom, Mark, Mary Jo and David, Mom spoke so highly of each of you. She was proud of you all! Just a little hint, there's a very expensive bottle of liquor down in the cupboard she didn't open yet. Maybe you all could have a drink in memory of Mom. Take care!
