Michael Meltz Obituary
Michael Walter Meltz, age 62, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 4, 2017 at his home in Hortonville.
Michael was born on November 13, 1955 in Appleton, the son of the late Kermit and Marilyn (Gieschen) Meltz. Mike was a 1974 Fox Valley Lutheran High School graduate. He was a member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church and was an usher for the church. He formerly was employed with the City of Appleton and presently was employed with NAPA of Appleton. He enjoyed farming and was involved with the Greenville Fire Department for a time.
Michael is survived by his wife, Ruth of 36 years; and six children, Debbie (Tim) Jens, Jennifer Meltz, Jesse Meltz, David (Jill) Meltz, Jamie Meltz and Daniel Meltz, five grandsons, Bryce, Griffin, Kolten, Zander and Dakota; three siblings, Tim (Julie) Meltz, Greg (Jennifer) Meltz and Paula (Steve) Ashman and by numerous nieces and nephews. Michael was also preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Meltz.
The funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday December 8, 2017 at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church W 7265 School Road, Greenville with the Rev. John Qualmann officiating. Inurnment will be in Greenville Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Michael's family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 9-10:45 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church and School.

You have our deepest sympathies. Mike was a good friend of mine in grade school (we got into a lot of trouble whispering at each other during class) and was a classmate and good friend of Mark's and mine at FVL. We are so sorry to hear of his death but rejoice that he knew his Savior. May that knowledge comfort you and your family. God bless you in these days of sadness.

Please accept my sincere sympathy on the loss of your husband and dad. I loved Mike very much and enjoyed his company, in friendship, for the past 28 years. Mike was always so proud of his family and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He loved each and every one of you.
Mike, you were the greatest and most sincerest friend I ever had. You have shown me such a love as a brother and as a best friend. I will miss you very much. When you left this world you took a piece of me with you.
