Peter Mayer Obituary
Peter C. Mayer II, 55, Neenah, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 26, 2016. He was born on October 18, 1960, in Neenah, son of Peter James and Elizabeth Mary (Elliott) Mayer. Pete was a simple man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, golfing, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. He was currently employed with FSA Logistics in Appleton.
Peter is survived by his 3 children: Hannah (special friend Jake Anderson), Emily, and PJ Mayer; a brother: Mike (Gail) Mayer; former wife and mother to his son: Shelley Mayer; 6 nieces and nephews: Jenna (Jacob) Montoya, Wendy and Chanse Mayer, Crystal (Jason) Casperson, Niki (fiance Andy) and Mark Jr. (Alison) Mayer; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: Mark Mayer; aunts; uncles; and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm, Monday, October 3, 2016, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Rev. Mark Tegtmeier officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will Monday at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Pete's family would like to thank the nurses with the IMU and ICU at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Neenah. Also, Peter wished to one day donate his organs for someone in need, and he was able to fulfill that wish upon his death.

Just found this out today. Very sorry for his family and friends loss. He was a very kind person. I appreciated his patience while I was starting my new job with Ryder truck rental. I also remember him from Neenah High School. Again very sorry to hear this today. Prayers for all

Thank you for being the best boss I have ever had. And a great friend and always being there for me. And my son will always have the memories of you sneaking him sweets and doughnuts and spoiling him. You are very loved by so many people.
