Joyce Ann Mayer

Joyce Ann Mayer, a beloved figure in the Delhi community and cherished matriarch of her family, passed away on February 19, 2026. She was born on June 28, 1934, in Cincinnati, where she spent her life creating a legacy filled with love and warmth.

Joyce, a graduate of Western Hills High School in 1952, found great joy and fulfillment in her career alongside her husband as co-owners of Faultless Bakery. Her time at the bakery was more than just work; it was a testament to her passion for connecting with others. She relished the relationships she built with customers and the community, sharing her love for baking and hospitality.

As a wife, Joyce shared a profound partnership with her husband Edward Mayer, to whom she was married for 45 wonderful years. A devoted daughter, she was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruth Doyle, and leaves behind fond memories of her sister, Joan (Duke) VanWinkle, and her dear nephew, Jimmy Rogers.

Joyce was a devoted mother to her five children: Debbie (Randy) Hensley, Cindi (Richard) Schmidt, Candy (Dan) Jasper, Eddie (Ronnie) Mayer, and Missy (Chris) Dressler. She took immense pride in being a grandmother to her grandchildren: Seana (John), Dustin (Danielle), Ashley, Tony (Kelly), Shelby (James), Ryan, Jake (Rachel), Ally (Taylor), Hannah (Dallas), Hayley, and great-grandmother to Emily, Adelyn, Ava, Gracie, and Kai. Her family was undoubtedly her proudest accomplishment, and her legacy will continue to thrive through them.

Joyce will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, cooking family meals, and especially her delicious soups. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and made every gathering feel special with her warmth and love.

Visitation will take place on February 25, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home Delhi, located at 4619 Delhi Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45238. Following the visitation, interment will be held at St. Joseph New Cemetery at 12:15 PM, located at 4500 Foley Road, Cincinnati, OH 45238.

Joyce Ann Mayer's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of family, love, and community. She will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege to know her.
