Richard Eppinger Obituary
Richard J. Eppinger, Kaukauna, age 81 died peacefully on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at St. Paul Home. He was born on August 19, 1935 in Kaukauna, WI son of the late Bernard and Eva (Nushart) Eppinger. Richard served in the Army in Germany from 1958 to 1960, where he met his wife Johanna. On June 27, 1960 he married Johanna M. Fischer at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna. The couple lived in Kaukauna their entire married lives. Richard worked for Thilmany for 40 years, retiring in 1996. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Johanna, Kaukauna; his children: Chris (Greg) Thomas, Montana and their children, Sierra, Riley and Gage and Michelle Yao, Kaukauna and her children, Benjamin, Chance, Trevor and Spencer; 4 brothers: Norman (Ruth), Appleton, Jerome (Fumiko), Leon and Dennis (Angie), all of Kaukauna.
Memorial services for Richard will be at 12 Noon on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. MARY CHURCH, 119 West Seventh St., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends may call directly at church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Complete military rites will take place at church. Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family. I have great memories of Richard and the Eppinger family. As neighbors, we enjoyed the wonderful experiences of youth and close family experiences...Rich's special joy was his classic Hudson. My prayers and condolences are extended to his special family.

My condolences to the Eppinger family; I've known your family for many years and just talked to Richard two weeks ago when I saw him at the St. Paul home, I can't believe he's gone, he said he was doing fine, just there for rehab after knee surgery. I will keep you in my thought and prayers at this difficult time. RIP Richard my friend.....
