Robert Bednaroski, age 78, died on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. He was born on October 23, 1932 in Neenah, WI, the son of Joseph and Martha (Kurowski) Bednarowski. He married Helen Kowalkowski on May 4, 1957 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menasha, WI.

Robert is survived by his wife; Helen, five children; Mark Bednaroski of Watertown, Thomas Bednaroski of Amherst Jct., Jane Reed of Krakow, Linda Callaway of Menasha, and Anthony (Chris) Bednaroski of Crystal Lake, IL, grandchildren; Amanda Reed, Laura Reed, Christy Reed, and Tammy (Joshua) Steinbrecher, Abby (Tony) Smolcich and Shannon Callaway, Matthew Bednaroski, Megan, Lauren, Wilbur, and Mary Bednaroski, and great grandsons; Braydon, Conner, and Garrett. He is further survived by a brother; James (Elaine) Bednarowski, and two sisters; Mary (Raymond) McHugh and Helen (Joseph) LeComte. He was preceded in death by his son; William A. Bednaroski, granddaughter; Ashely Ann Bednaroski, his parents, and a brother; John.

Robert had been employed with the former American Can Company in Neenah for over 30 years. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca. He had served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard for three years during the Korean War. He had many interests including reading, trains, coin collecting, swimming, and traveling. He always kept himself busy with projects he did around his home.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, WI, with Father Brian Belongia, Celebrant. Interment along with military honors will be in the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca following the mass. A visitation will be held at the church in Waupaca on Tuesday morning from 9:30 - 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Wisconsin Veterans Home - King, WI in memory of Robert Bednaroski. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
