Frank Rogers Obituary

Frank La Vern Rogers was born May 21, 1958, in San Diego, California. He grew up in Escondido, California, and graduated from San Pasqual High School. Growing up, he enjoyed surfing and fishing the ocean, and motorcycle racing at Carlsbad Raceway. Frank excelled at carpentry and construction, doing some of the most physical aspects of it, including roofing and framing.

Frank's parents, Frank and Diane Rogers instilled in him and his three siblings, Mark, Ramona, and Renee an understanding of close sibling bonding, a strong work ethic, and a task well done. Frank actively pursued God as he saw demonstrated by his parents.

Frank could really put together and nail a roof and frame a structure. Alongside his brother, Mark, Frank roofed countless homes and structures across Southern California. In 1992, he moved to Idaho where he became known for building log cabins and custom homes in Teton Valley, Idaho, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming, later continuing his work on both residential and commercial projects in the Idaho Falls area. Originally, he came to Teton Valley to build his aunt and uncle's log cabin alongside his Uncle Ronnie and cousin, Glenn, and he was not going to stay in Idaho, but he fell in love with the mountains, hunting, and Stacy.

Frank set down his carpenter's bags in 2020, and soon after, began working with the City of Idaho Falls at the wastewater facility. It was there that, following an accident, Frank tragically drowned on September 20, 2025.

Frank is easy to like, quick witted, and flavors the funniest stories of his colorful life. He would easily and very naturally make us laugh. He knew how to be a good friend.

Frank has two sons, Frankie and Hunter, between the two of them they know that they were both his pride. Equally so are his two daughters, Tia and Sage, his sweeties.

Though legally divorced five years ago, Frank and his wife, Stacy, continued to walk through life together with a deepening closeness and mutual reliance that remained strong until his passing.

Frank's parents, Frank and Diane Rogers of Escondido, California, preceded him in death. He is survived by his children: Frank Allen Rogers (Amy) of Escondido, CA; Tia Louise Nilsen (Mike) of Canyon Lake, CA; Sage Rogers (Devyn Christian) of Blackfoot, ID; and Hunter Bruce Rogers (Jessica) of Idaho Falls, ID. He is also survived by Stacy Beazer-Rogers of Idaho Falls; 7 grandchildren: Harper, Lennon, Maci, Talen, Tinsley, Monida, and Sunny; siblings, Mark Rogers (Jill) of Lake Elsinore, CA; Ramona Lee (Scott) of Vista, CA; Renee Williams (Devin) of Yuma, AZ; his cousins and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Frank will be remembered for his Portuguese features; beautiful bronze skin, long dark hair, searching brown eyes, hearty laugh, and as a man whose life was transformed by Jesus. His family finds comfort that he found peace and happiness on this earth and reaped joy. In addition, his lifelong passion for the sport of motocross and riding dirt bikes continues in the Rogers family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 Noon, Sunday, November 16, 2025, at The Barn on 1st, 3934 1st Street, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83401.

My deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Frank. I didn't have much contact with Frank, but my memories of him at Del Dios Junior High School and San Pasqual High School were of a very personable fellow I grew up on Cranston Drive in Escondido, almost directly across the highway from where Frank lived-I believe it was around West Brotherton and Alexander? I really feel for people when they lose loved ones. My first major loss was in late 1978,when I lost my brother Steve. I was 21, he was 25. A staggering blow that was a living nightmare for months. I saw Frank on facebook and almost sent him a message several times, but, regretfully, I didn't for one reason or another. When I was in high school, Frank hung out with a group of guys who made fun of me. They thought I was a burned out drug user or something. I was on the track team and one day I was running by the house where Frank lived, getting some mileage in. His friend was in Frank's driveway and Frank was near the road. Franks friend called out," Cloud Nine!' As I ran past Frank, he asked me, "Hey Glen, how many miles do you run every day?" "Around six, I answered" Frank smiled and said something complmentary. That's a really fond memory. It was as if Frank was trying to tell me that he didn't feel the same way about me as his friends did. Frank struck me as a person who had a heart for the outcasts, misfits, people who were shunned by most others. A Good Guy. Having said all this, I was really happy to see that Frank believed in Jesus! I've been a Believer since Resurrecttion Sunday, 1984. I'm sure Frank is in The Presence of Yeshua Hamashiach-Jesus The Messiah, or blasting around the universe on his Motorcycle, having a fantastic time! When I leave this world, I look forward to seeing Frank, in addition to my Parents, brother Steve and many friends. Ride And Be Free Frank!
