NAPLES, Fla. -- Richard Humphrey Windisch, a long-time resident of Naples, Florida, passed away on May 20th, 2008, at Naples Community Hospital.
Humphrey was born July 28th, 1928, in New York City to father, Richard P. Windisch, and mother, Margaret Humphrey Windisch, who were also long time residents of Naples.
He was a 1946 graduate of Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Massachusetts, and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Kalamazoo College in Michigan in 1951. Humphrey enrolled in the Air National Guard during his college years and was called to active duty during the Korean War to serve in U.S. Air Force from which he received an honorable discharge in 1953.
Humphrey is survived by brothers, John M. Windisch of Naples, Fla., and Charles C. Windisch and wife, Louise, of Cambria, Calif., together with a niece, Gillian Parrott and nephews, Dr. Thomas Windisch and Conrad Windisch.
Richard Humphrey Windisch will be sadly missed by his family and friends and forever remembered for his kindness and patriotism.
His funeral service will be arranged by the family and burial is scheduled to take place at the family burial site at Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum, 4521 Spring Grove Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio.
