Ronnie Hammon Obituary
Ronnie Dale Hammon Sr., 74, of Idaho Falls, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, of respiratory failure.
Ronnie was born June 10, 1940, in Idaho Falls, to Herman Hammon and Annie Holverson Hammon. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. He lived most of his life in Idaho Falls, except for brief periods in California and Washington.
Ronnie served in the U. S. Army from 1957 to 1965.
Ronnie worked as a painter at the INL and for Kofoed Painting.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and painting pictures.
Ronnie is survived by his sons, Herman Hammon of Hayward, Calif., Ronnie Hammon Jr. of Portland, Ore., and Ryan (Janet) Charboneau of Idaho Falls; sister, Georgia "Dode" Carpenter of Everett, Wash.; and seven grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings, Stella Rich, Corky Hammon, Willie Hammon, Jimmie Hammon Sr. and Eddie Hammon
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. The family will visit with friends from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Saturday prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home. Military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Idaho Honor Guard.

Dad your going to be missed I'm glad your know longer in pain but my own selfishness wants more time another story a reapeat Even. I miss you so much. Thanks for all the life lessons and your directness. Your looks and naming me after Grandpa. Give Grandma and Stella a hug and enjoy fishing with your brothers. See you again some day. LOVE HERMAN

Ronnie will be missed, I loved him, his jokes, and his laid back attitude. He was a good friend and teacher. He taught my youngest Son (Rich) how to fish.. See you on the other side buddy..

I was very blessed to work for this amazing man the past 7 months. It was such a joy and I cannot begin to say how much I will miss him. He taught me a lot and I will miss his jokes and compassion. My thoughts and prayers go out to his sons. I will miss you uncle Ronnie.
