Jeffrey Borden Obituary

QUEENSBURY -- Jeffrey S. Borden, 40, of Burke Drive, went into the arms of the Lord, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, at Glens Falls Hospital, after a long illness.

Born on Nov. 5, 1964, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Eleanor (Trombley) Davies and the late Herbert "Skip" Borden.

For many years, Jeff owned and operated Borden Construction in Glens Falls.

He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Fort Edward.

Jeff enjoyed traveling, shooting pool and listening to music. His family said he loved shopping with other people, not buying anything, but helping them spend their money. Jeff had a wonderful sense of humor and could always make others laugh.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Cecilia and Robert Trombley.

Survivors include his daughter, Erica Brimhall-Borden of Saratoga Springs; three brothers, Michael D. Dickinson of U.S. Virgin Islands, Aaron Borden-Camp and his wife, Julie, of Rochester and "Rusty" Davies II of Albany; three sisters, Suzanne Baker of Glens Falls, Melissa Di Placido and her husband, Mike, of Toronto, Canada, and Dianna Hart of Albany; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St. in Hudson Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Joseph's Church on Broadway in Fort Edward, with the Rev. Joseph Xavier Arockiasamy, administrator, officiating.

Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.

The family suggests that memorials donations be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220.

my father was one of my favorite people, he was my world. He was stubborn but over all he knew how to make me laugh.I'm glad that god had given us a second chance to be together, and have the relationship i had only dreamed of as a kid, that moment we met was one of his happiest days and mine as well i shall never forget it.Rest in peace Daddy and I love you. You'll always be in my heart wherever i go and i know he's watching over all of us.
