William F. Dopp

September 29, 1954 - September 26, 2025

William F. Dopp, 70, of Lake Luzerne, N.Y., died on Friday, September 26, 2025, at home with his loving wife beside him.

Bill was born on September 29, 1954, in Amsterdam, N.Y., the son of William H. and Doris E. (Laymon) Dopp.

Bill graduated from Perth High School in 1972 and married Beth (Sheldon) on May 29, 1981. They were happily married for 44 years.

He worked for General Electric in Schenectady and GL&V in Hudson Falls as a molder.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Paul Dopp (Pat Dopp) of Broadalbin, N.Y.; and his nephew, Daniel Dopp of Perth, N.Y.

Bill had a daughter, Megan Whalen (Brian Whalen) of Batavia, Ohio and a son, Matthew Dopp (Kelly Dopp) of Batavia, Ohio. He had one grandchild, Maple Whalen; and many nieces and nephews.

Those remaining to cherish Bill's memory are his wife, his children, and his granddaughter, as well as his brother, David Dopp (Rebecca Dopp) of Perth, N.Y.; and his sisters, Rose Dopp of Perth, N.Y., Patricia Dopp of Perth, N.Y. and Pearl Bernaski (John Bernaski) of Amsterdam, N.Y.
