Jerry L. Wright, 64, of Coudersport, died on Saturday, June 9, 2012, in the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre. He was born on Sept. 28, 1947, in Coudersport, son of Harold A. "Bill" and Margaret Hilfiger Wright.
He owned and operated Wright's Auction Barn and was the former owner of Wright's Restaurant and Truck Stop, Northwoods Tavern and the Pine Creek Inn. He was a social member of the American Legion in Coudersport.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret of Coudersport; a son, Daryl (Michele) Wright of Coudersport; a daughter, Michelle Erway; four grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon (Jack) Wilson of Coudersport and Darlene Wright-Villa of Madison, Wisc.; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by an infant sister, Judy Lynne Wright.
Friends may call at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, from 1 to 3 p.m., with Funeral Services following at 3 p.m. Kathy Boyd, certified lay speaker of the Sweden Valley Faith United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery. Another memorial service will be held at a future date at the Pine Creek Inn in West Pike. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christmas House, 1 Water Street, Coudersport, PA 16915 or a charity of the donor's choice.
