Irene A. Sabo

Irene A. (Wargo) Sabo, 87, of North Coventry Twp., Pottstown, widow of Frank Sabo, and companion of the late Henry Herring, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at Manatawny Manor in East Coventry Twp.
Born in Drifton, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Yennie) Wargo. Mrs. Sabo was employed as a housekeeper with Holiday Inn of Pottstown, retiring in 1988.
Irene enjoyed attending Day Care at Manatawny Manor and thought of the caring staff as an extended family.
Surviving her are one son, John L. Sabo, and his wife Sharon, of Pottstown, one sister, Julia Sabo, of Center Valley, Pa., and a daughter-in-law Lynda Sabo, wife of the late Frank J. Sabo. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Angie, wife of Dave Moyer, Alyssa, wife of Mike Rice, Andrew, Jake, Jim and wife Kathy. Additionally, she is survived by seven great-grandchildren, Josh, Nik, Nate, Cassidy, Grace and Noah.
She was preceded in death by one son, Frank J. Sabo, three brothers, Peter, Frank and Alex Wargo, and two sisters, Margaret Sabo and Betty Boyer.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 from Shenkel United Church of Christ, Shenkel and Unionville Roads, Pottstown. Officiating will be the Rev. Bonnie L. Moore. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a viewing from 10 until 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
