Mary Ann Doering

Mary Ann (Istenes) Doering, 78, of Frederick, PA widow of Paul E. Doering, passed away on Sunday February 5, 2023 at Frederick Living. Born in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Albert Istenes and the late Mary R. (Walsh) Istenes. Mary Ann was a 1962 graduate of Pottsgrove High School, a 1965 graduate of Temple University School of Nursing, and a University of St. Francis graduate with a BS in Health Arts. She was a registered nurse at the former Montgomery County Geriatric Center for twelve years until her retirement. She is survived by two sons, Ryan M. Doering and his wife Melissa, Suwanee, GA, Todd E. Doering and his wife Jeanine, Collegeville; a brother, Gordon A. Istenes, Pottstown; a sister, Joan L. wife of Christopher Austerberry, Pottstown; six grandchildren, Brenna, Luke, Zachary, Juliana, Katie, Sarah, and one great-grandchild, Merit. A memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Friday February 17, 2023 at the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King Street, Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Burlington Latshaw, III. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
