Donald W. Hans Jr., 75, husband of Judith L. Hans, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026 surrounded by his loving family at Phoenixville Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Donald W. Hans Sr. and Elizabeth Laura (First) Hans.

Donald was a graduate of Pottsgrove High School class of 1968. He then went on to study at Ursinus College before leaving early to join the United States Air Force. After his service time, Donald went back to Ursinus, graduating with a BS in Accounting. From there, he received his MBA at Temple University. Donald held numerous positions in banking through acquisitions and promotions. He retired from National Penn Bank in 2015 and enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his family and friends in his second home in Cape May Point, NJ.

Surviving along with his wife Judith, is his son Andrew Hans, husband of Jessica; daughter Ashley Hans, partner of Ariana Hall; sister Donna Ryan, wife of the late Joseph, and nephew Bret Ryan, husband of Kim. He will be missed by his family, friends, and community.

He was a faithful member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Phoenixville, serving on Vestry, Accounting Warden, and Stewardship Committee. He served as treasurer and president of Green Valleys Watershed Association, as well as a Board Member of Welkinweir Arboretum.

A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church (121 Church St., Phoenixville, PA 19460) or to Green Valleys Watershed Association (1368 Prizer Rd, Pottstown, PA 19465) in Donald's name.
