Robert C. Powers

Robert C. Powers, 87, passed away on Monday April 19, 2021 at The Heritage of Green Hills with his loving daughter by his side. Born in Philadelphia, Robert was the son of the late Carlton M. Powers and Beatrice (Miller) Powers. He is survived by his daughter Judi Powers of Hudson, NY and Russell Jones, her fiance. A long-time resident of West Reading, Bob had a distinguished career as a real estate broker throughout southeastern PA. He served in the United States Air Force where he received the National Defense Service Medal. He was an Eagle Scout, a Shriner at the Raja Temple of Reading, and a Freemason (Northern Masonic Jurisdiction). A celebration of life memorial service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 129 E. Lancaster Avenue Shillington, Saturday June 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to The Boy Scouts of America at: donations.scouting.org or The Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals at: shrinershospitalsforchildren.org.
