Anna Walsh Obituary
Poughkeepsie - Anna Margaret Walsh ("Ann"), 92 passed away on July 9, 2018 at the Lutheran Care Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was born on August 6, 1925 in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Paul Vincent Walsh and Mary Dwyer. She attended Nativity Elementary School and graduated from Poughkeepsie High School. Ann worked as a secretary for 37 years with IBM in Poughkeepsie.
Ann was a parishioner of St Mary's in Poughkeepsie, volunteered for the Dutchess Co Mental Health Center and the March of Dimes.
Surviving are her siblings; Marlyn Bauer (NJ), Paula Anzelone and her husband Tom (NC), nieces; Nan Bauer (NYC), Ellen Forlenza and her husband Vincent (NJ), nephews; Kevin Anzelone (NC), Eric Bauer (NC), Brett Bauer (MA), Paul Bauer, (CT), and 10 grandniece/nephews . She was predeceased by her parents, brother; Paul Walsh, brother-in-law; Ernest Bauer, nephews; Jeffrey Anzelone and Todd Anzelone. The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff at Lutheran Care Center for loving care and friendship. In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to Lutheran Care Center Staff Appreciation Fund, 965 Dutchess Turnpike Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
Calling hours are Thursday, July 12, 2018 3-6PM at the Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home. 39 S. Hamilton Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. 845-452-1840. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Mary's Church, Friday, July 13, 2018, 10AM, 231 Church St Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. I'm so sorry to hear of Ann's passing. I had the privilege of meeting & working with Ann at IBM many years ago. She was a true lady & a kind soul. I will miss our visits. Rest in peace, my dear friend. Xo
