Mike was a plumber for over thirty years; the last twelve with Cleveland Plumbing in Hyde Park.

Mr. Haley was a member of the United Methodist Church of Hyde Park, and active with the United Methodist Men.

Mike had the wonderful trait of inspiring you to be a better person just by being around him. He was also active with the Aquatic Explorers Scuba Diving Club, Empire State Metal Detectors Club, and Alcoholics Anonymous.

Known as a "peacemaker", Mike was a great supporter of his family.

On May 4, 1991, he married Mary Alice Hulsizer. Mrs. Haley survives at home.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his three children, Justin Michael Haley of Hyde Park, and Carolyn Beth Haley and Asher Daniel Haley, both of Staatsburg; sister, Lynne Haley and husband, Rick, of Wingdale; brother, Brian Haley and wife, Lea, of McDonough, Georgia; sister, Letitia Ford and husband, Gene of Poughquag; sister, Julie Muncey and husband, Jeff, of Wingdale; nieces and nephews, Andrew Haley and wife, Julianne, and their daughter, Faye, Liana Haley, Hale and Erin Muncey, Zach and Eric Ford, and Mojha MacDowell and husband, Dean, and her son, Christian.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 pm, Wednesday, September 16th at the United Methodist Church of Hyde Park, corner of Rte. 9 & Church St., Hyde Park.

Funeral services will be at 11 am, Thursday, September 17th at the church with Rev. Kregg Gabor officiating.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and his ashes will be buried in the family plot in South Dover Cemetery.

Michael's family respectfully requests donations for the benefit of Asher Haley's college fund. Donations can be sent to Mary Haley, PO Box 207, Staatsburg, NY 12580.
