I have never had the chance to meet your wonderful family, but I am a night nurse from Elant that helped care for her. Something about Mrs. Azzaro really touched me; she ALWAYS talked about her sons whom she loved so much and her daughter in law Dianne. This really touched me, Dianne I hope my mother in law talks about me the way she talked about you, you truly meant a lot to her and if there was anything that she wanted different, maybe a blanket or pj's- her response was "Diane will take care of it", she always apprecieated everything that was done for her- she was so kind that following her thankyou she'd even blow a kiss and say I love you, honey!!!, reminding me of my grandmother. I had went up to Vassar yesterday afternoon hoping to see her and I was very upset to hear the news, but I know one thing she is definately in heaven. She always had her Rosary Beads, and I would joke with her and ask her to say prayers for me, but tell her she'd be up all night with the amount I needed, and she just laughed. My favorite nights were Thanksgiving and Christmas, both nights more than once she had told me " I had a great time, lots of food, lots of people @100 she would say and they wanted me to sleep over, but I needed to get back" and I loved hearing all about it. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers and I will also greatly miss her!!
