Peter C. Reilly

Poughkeepsie - Peter C. Reilly went home to be with the Lord on Thursday July 29th, 2021. Peter was born on November 3rd, 1946 in Montclair New Jersey to Josephine and Conrad Reilly. He was predeceased by his parents Josephine and Conrad Reilly, his brother Allen Reilly and his first wife Selma Calender.

At the age of 18 Peter was recruited by IBM and went to programming school.

He had a successful career at IBM and retired after 25 years with the company.

He later went on to Wall Street and worked for Citibank, as Supervisor of Operations, where he later retired. Peter had a creative mind and loved to invent

things. He had six patents and created two board games that are still presently being sold. Peter loved music, especially Jazz, he became an excellent self-taught Jazz pianist. He always believed that any goal was achievable as long as you were willing to put in the time.

Peter is survived by his daughters Jacqueline and Lauren Reilly. His two granddaughters Tiffany Lawrence and Clavia Jourdan, three great-grandchildren, Arianna and Aaron Kitson and Sharif Parker Jr., his second wife Katherine Reilly and his brother John Reilly.

On Monday August 9th, 2021, the viewing will be held at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Beth-el C.O.G.I.C located at 91 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY. Arrangements entrusted with Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home Inc.
