Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

I remember one day recently when I dropped my daughter off to work. Travis was outside in the packed parking lot bringing the shopping carts back in the store. When I returned about six hours later to pick her up, Travis was again picking up carts. When my daughter got in the car she told me what a hectic day it had been and that Travis had been outside all day doing cart returns.
To all of Travis' family, friends, and co-workers please know you have the love and support of everybody whose lives he touched.

Travis Jeck was one of those few people who treated you as a friend no matter if you were close with him or not.

Although I wasn't close with him after we graduated, I still couldn't stop myself from crying when I found out he was gone. I'll never forget him.

Russ,Barbara & Tyler,You are all in my thoughts and prayers! I don't know if there are any words that would ease your pain. Even so, I found this verse in the book of Matthew. Maybe it will be of some comfort.

"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. "
May you find peace in your time of morning. Travis will be missed.

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.It broke our hearts to lose you.You did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide;and though we cannot see you,you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same:but as God calls us one by one.the Chain will link again.

Thank you, Travis, for being such a pleasant and helpful person when I'd encounter you at Hannaford. It has been you who reminded me of the young boy at the supermarket in one of my favorite film stories,"Mrs. Cage".
I am sorry you had to leave so soon.
