Rev. Deacon Vivian Seipp

Fishkill - Rev. Deacon Vivian Seipp, a resident of Fishkill since 1962 and formerly of Mamaroneck, died on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Born in the Bronx, she was the daughter of Peter and Ursula Rodriguez Robertin. Vivian owned and operated V. Seipp Nursery School in the 1960s and 1970s. She then continued her education at Dutchess Community College where she received her Associates Degree. In 1992, she received her calling and was ordained Deacon for the Episcopal Diocese of New York and served at Trinity Episcopal Church in Fishkill until her retirement in 2004. Vivian was very dedicated to many of the church's outreach programs including the Vasser Haiti Project where a house in Haiti was named in her honor. An avid reader, she also enjoyed scrapbooking and collecting her beloved penquins.

On May 4, 1952 in the Bronx, Vivian married Charles Seipp who predeceased her on November 7, 2008. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Vivian Seipp of Staatsburg, Charles and Barbara Seipp of Wappingers Falls, Steven and Evelyn Seipp of Stanfordville, Valerie and Stephen Gaulin of the Town of Poughkeepsie, Jamie and Nicole Seipp of Kinderhook, Jodi and David Triola of Hyde Park; her grandchildren, Shelby and Cody Seipp, Danielle, Samantha and Matthew Seipp, Jesse Disbrow, Kasey Gaulin, Kassie, Cory and Madison Seipp, Taylor and Travyn Triola; her brothers, Peter Robertin of Wappingers Falls and William Robertin and his wife Dorothy of Elizabethtown, KY; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6-8pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1200 Main Street, Fishkill. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 11am at the church followed by internment in the Columbarium. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc.
