William R. Secor

Pleasant Valley, New York - William R. Secor, 80, of Pleasant Valley, NY passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center after a long illness. Born on November 8, 1937 and raised in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of the late Robert Allen Secor and the late Mary Evelyn Anderson. Bill attended Poughkeepsie High School and served in the United States Air Force, stationed in Germany. On July 29, 1962 he married Wanda J. Way at St. Paul's Church in Poughkeepsie and she survives at home. Bill had worked for Shatz Federal Bearing in Poughkeepsie, and later for IBM Quality Control in Kingston, NY, retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. In addition to his wife Wanda, Bill is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Kimberly and Michael Morris of Hopewell Jct., NY and his son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Chrissy Secor of Wappingers Falls, NY. Also surviving are his grandchildren Amanda Rupp, Theodore Rupp and his wife Courtney, Gavin Secor, and his great-grandchildren Greyson and Mason Rupp. Additionally Bill is survived by his sisters Dolores Koplan, Virginia Burgin, his brother Richard Secor, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Robert Allan Secor and Gerald Secor. There are no calling hours and burial will be private and at the convenience of the Family.
