Alberta Coffman Obituary
Williamsburg - Alberta (Bert) Carolyn Coffman was born August 21, 1931, to Carolyn Burns and Henry Claypool in North English, Ia. She graduated from North English High School in 1948. In 1951 she married Larry Donald Coffman. They made their home in Williamsburg, where they raised 3 sons. Together they owned and operated businesses in Williamsburg for over 50 years.
Bert was an exemplary homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She was most proud of her family. She loved nature and gardening. She and Larry enjoyed many years at their home on the Lake Placid in Hayward, Wisconsin. Bert passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg at the age of 87.
Left to honor her memory are her husband, Larry; three sons, Mike (Val) of Belle Plain, Dave (Dawn) of Williamsburg, Tom (Dawn) of Whitewater, Wisconsin; sister-in -law, Linda Markowski; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death her parents, brothers, Don and Jack Claypool, brother-in-law, Jim Markowski and two grandsons Andy and Ben Coffman.
There will be no services at this time. A memorial fund has been established for Essence of Life Hospice or Highland Ridge Care Center. Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg is caring for Bert and her family. Messages and tributes may be left at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
