Alexander Belardinelli Obituary

Alexander "Al" Belardinelli

Endwell - Alexander "Al" Belardinelli, 74, of Endwell, NY and Northfield, NJ passed away on Monday July 5, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. Born in Johnson City, NY he was the loving son of the late Joseph and Angeline (DeSimone) Belardinelli. He died from complications due to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and Emphysema.

Al was known for being an entrepreneur, starting and running various businesses, including restaurants, hair salons, a night club, and clothing stores in upstate New York. Friends and family fondly remember his stewardship of the Alexander's Beauty Salon, Reel to Real, The Peppermill, and Pants and Things. Al enjoyed playing blackjack, craps, boating, and loved to show off his water-skiing abilities. In his later years he was very political, working on various campaigns. Al was hard work personified. While he was very strong willed and embraced every challenge, he was also loyal, dedicated, determined, tenacious, and a true friend. He will be remembered as a Jack of all trades and a "Master of All" as well.

Al is survived by his wife; Andrea Stukas-Belardinelli, daughter; Angeline "Angel" Belardinelli, grand-cat; Dusky, sister and brother in law Maria and Dick Vitale, brother and sister in law Joe and Carol Belardinelli, niece; Angela Braun (Scott) and her children Zach and Addy, nephew; Christopher Vitale (Archana) and his children Dev and Sidd, nephew; Anthony Vitale, nephew; Joe Belardinelli (Julie) III and his kids, Carolyn, Anthony, and Eric, niece Jennifer (Joseph Mesa) and her kids Joseph, Julia, and Francis, nephew; Matthew (Kim) and his son Benjamin, and a host of cousins, friends and loved ones. He is predeceased by loving fur-companions Amber, Jake, and Sachem.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life will be held the third week of July, 2022 at Taughannock State Park, contact [email protected] for more information on the celebration, and to share any remembrances or stories. My condolences to Al's family and his circle of friends and loved ones. I haven't seen him since high school, but will admit he was my "first crush" when I was in 6th grade. Through the years I've heard about his successes and it is nice to know he had a full life. May his memory be a blessing.

Al was my political godfather and mentor. Always there to answer my questions and help me do more for the cause. Nobody else encouraged me like Al. Meticulously honest, generous, encouraging and helpful, Al my friend will be sorely missed and I'm so sorry he had the health problems he did. I hope and pray he's in a better place now and beaming with joy and happiness.

Our hearts are broken with the passing of Al; but, joyful at the thought he will see his mom and dad again. The obituary was truly Al. He was passionate about his beliefs and there was no way around them. He was also passionate about his family and friends and there was no getting around that either. Al was Carl's friend almost forever and our best man in our wedding 52 years ago. If you knew Al, you knew he was unique. There will never be another Al. He will be missed. Our love and prayers to Al, Andrea, Angel, Maria and all the rest of his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Al's passing. My condolences to the family. I did not realize he was so bad after not seeing him in the past few years. We did some great work in the Tea Party and elections at that time and had some great fun. I always wish I had known him before then. He was swell to all and a fun loving person, so talented and ambitious. Boy I will miss him.
