Carl Elsworth Rose
of Spencer, New York
Carl E. Rose, 67, of Spencer, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 17, 2007. Carl was the son of the late Herbert and Frances (Stevens) Rose. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Shirley Rose Perfetti. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Natalie Kirk Rose; four fabulous children, Sherry and Arthur Thompson, Freeville, N.Y., Brian K. Rose, Pomoma, N.Y., Kevin and Tonya (Rick) Rose, Freeville, N.Y., Daryl and Meghan (Farrell) Rose, Franklin, Tenn.; nine grandchildren, Heather and Eric Dodge, Olivia and Brooke Thompson, Jacob Severson, Amaya and Ryan Rose, Joshua and Mara Rose; brothers and sisters, Clarence and Sharon Rose, Candor, Iva and Jan Conrad, Spencer, Carol and Robert Hover, Candor, Donna and Larry Mott, Candor, Frances (Sandy) and Michael Armstrong, Newfield, N.Y., Charles and Tiem Rose, Waverly, Tenn., Ronnie Rose, Candor; brothers and sister-in-laws, Michael Kirk, Freeville, N.Y., Wynetta Pass-Kirk, Candor, Alberta and William Jackson, Newfield, N.Y., Veronica Johnson, Northville, Mich.; several nieces and nephews; very special friends, Violet and Everett Swansbrough, Candor; Barb and Dave Lanning, Spencer; his best friend and dog, Missy. Carl was blessed with many talents. He retired in 2002 from Therm, Inc. as a tool maker and machinist. As a contractor, he built and remodeled many beautiful homes in the area. He was also known for his creations which were handcrafted in his workshop. These creations and talents were as amazing as his love and devotion to his family.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 20, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Candor Congregational Church, Main St., Candor. Burial will follow in the Halsey Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Candor Congregational Church, Main St., Candor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carl E. Rose's memory to Candor Congregational Church, C/O Peter and Gloria Ward, 10 Bambie Lane, Candor, N.Y. 13743. Arrangements are by the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home.

Natalie,I am so sorry to hear of Carl's passing. I just read it in the Freeville Shopper.
I have talked to you and Carl on the phone but, never met you or Carl face to face, and now I will never get the chance to meet Carl. I WILL get to your house to see you. My sympathy to you and all of your family.

My dear friend, I guess I always thought of you as indestructable. For the 40 some years we were near each other you were. I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you now but I really have been in memories, thoughts and prayer. The same goes for you Natalie, Sherry, Brian, Kevin, Daryl, and the rest of the family. Sherry, Brian, Kevin and Daryl I am so sorry about your dad passing. Aunt Nat, I am so sorry. He is going to be missed by many. I wished that this didn't have to happen, but now he isn't suffering like he was and he will be with grandpa & grandma and Aunt Shirley.
