CHARLES (CHUCK) E. CRANDALL
of Binghamton
Charles (Chuck) E. Crandall, 75, of Binghamton, N.Y., passed away Friday, January 26, after a courageous battle against cancer. He is predeceased by his parents, Paul and Myrtle Crandall, his sister, Sylvia Jean and niece, Judith. He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Millie) Crandall; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue (Suzanne) and Larry Swartz, Melbourne, Fla., Shari (Charlene) and Marshall Frey, Binghamton; son, Russ Crandall and Dina Young, Hilton Head, S.C.; brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Rena Crandall, Summerville, Fla., David and Patricia Crandall, New Milford, Pa., Paul (Joe) and Sally Crandall, Horseheads, N.Y.; brother, Donald Crandall, Fla.; sister, Barbara Crandall, Binghamton, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Sandra Griffis, Amy Wiser, Sean and Christopher Frey, Stephanie and Nicholas Crandall, Colin Crandall; one great granddaughter, Mikayla Wiser. He is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews, Marion, Jim, Marie, Jack, Bill, Deborah, Kevin, Tim, Bob, Kathy, Dan, Terry, Thomas, Martin, Richard, Scott and Michael; also a dear family friend, Rodger Page. Chuck was an avid golfer and proud of having three holes-in-one at area courses with golfing buddies, Don Merritt and Fred Felicetti and recently deceased, Jim Sturtevant. His brothers Bill and David, also golfers, attest to his holes-in-one. Chuck formerly owned and operated Rollarena Skating Rink in Endwell, for fourteen years, 1972 to 1984. Previous to that, he operated Blue Ridge Skating Rink of New Milford. Chuck served in the U.S. Army from April, 1949 to October, 1952. Prayer services will be held Monday at 7:45 p.m. at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main St., Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the Barber Memorial Home Monday from 6 to 7:45 p.m.
