Dennis Barrows, 61, of Lexington, KY, passed away on June 17, 2015 to be with our Lord. An abbreviated viewing was held at the Kerr brothers funeral home located in Lexington, KY. This was followed by a service at the Wesley United Methodist church where he was a devoted member of the United Methodist Men. He is pre-deceased by his mother Beatrice Pickering-Barrows, his father Howard Barrows and his sister Gloria DaVall. He is survived by his three daughters and son-in-laws Melinda and Dexter Robinson, Jennie and Stephen Calulot, Jessica and Chad Underwood, and son Jason Barrows ; Six grandchildren, Ayja, Isaiah, Micah, and Jeshua (Robinson); Caden Calulot; Jackson Underwood. He is also survived by two sisters Darlene Barrows and Gale Paugh along with two Brothers William DaVall and Duane Barrows (His Twin); ten nieces and nephews along with many cousins and friends. Dennis graduated from Windsor High School and attended a school in Cobleskill, NY for Culinary & hotel management. While serving in the Army as Medic and was stationed at Fort Carson. Dennis was a retired 20-year employee of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He had a gentle smile and a kind mannerism. Death is a lot of things, but mostly it's inevitable. It's just a manner of when. What you do in between now and then is what's important.

Beloved brother no farewell words were spoken. No time to say, "Good bye". You were gone before we knew it, and only GOD knows why. Today is full of memories of a Father, Brother and friend laid to rest and every single one of them is filled with happiness. For you were someone special always such a joy to know and there was so much pain when it was time to let you go. That's why this special message is sent to heaven above for the angels to take care of you and give you all my love. Good by Dennis and may you find the rest and peace in death that you were not able to find in life.
