Douglas E. Rutter

Endicott - Douglas E. Rutter, 70, of Endicott, passed away peacefully July 26th, 2021 after a long, courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. His two best girls were by his side.Doug was predeceased by his parents,

Donald Sr. and Betty Rutter, his brother, Don Jr. "Butchie" and nephew, Jason, as well as his second mother, "Ma" Frances Alimonti, sister Addie, and brothers, Joe and Nino.

He is survived by his BFF and one & only love of 24 years, Angela Alimonti, his son, Justin

(Ashley) Rutter, "daughter" Joanna (Chris) Materese, who embraced Doug and Angela as her own parents, and her children, K'onna and Amiah, whom Doug loved so much. He sadly also leaves behind his beloved, constant companion, Doobie, siblings, Rose & Joe, Francine, Linda & Ken, Dave & Sharon, Helen & Joe, many nieces and nephews, extended family & many close friends.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 11 at 6:30 at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, LLC, 300 E. Main St., Endicott, NY with Reverend Joyce Allen officiating. Angela & family will receive friends from 5:00 until the time of service.

Doug was the only one in school in both 7th and 8th grade that could beat me at chinups, a big deal to 12 year olds. Always a tough competitor while being a jokester.
