Earl Ford Obituary
Vestal: Pastor Earl R. Ford of Vestal died Monday evening December 8, 2014 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Virginia Thayer and Evangelynn Fenton; grandchildren, Jason Fenton and Stephanie Fenton; great-grandchildren, Andie Fenton and Silas Fenton; and a special nephew, Kevin Dean. He was born September 25, 1929 in Endicott, and at the age of 23 Earl was confronted with God's plan of salvation and hope of Jesus Christ. He made closure with Christ and never turned back. He served in many capacities in the local church, was then ordained and served as a Pastor. Funeral services will be held Friday at noon from the First Baptist Church, 117 Powderhouse Road, Vestal. The Reverend Michael Pearson, Pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church, Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at noon.

Mrs. Ford and Family: I am so very sorry to learn that Rev. Ford has passed but I am glad he is in Heaven with my Mom and Dad. Rev. Ford was my favorite pastor of all time. Dad loved the church-appropriate jokes Pastor Ford would tell during a sermon. He would chuckle for 20 minutes past the time the joke was told. So Sad but also glad we know where he is. I sure hope he will gather new info to tell new monkey stories. He was the best and I always looked to him for guidance and direction. He was a wonderful man and very much loved! I bet that is some reunion up there seeing all of our loved ones from church up there. wow I am jealous. Dear Carol and family,
All our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. We have been privileged to have known Earl and his wonderful kindness as well as his terrific sense of humor. He always knew how to make a person feel good about themselves. Our children always knew that they could turn to him for guidance without judgment and often did so.
