Laskaris, Peter J.

Peter J. Laskaris ("Jim", "Cherokee"), 71 years, passed into the arms of his family on Friday morning, October 26, 2012, at his home. His mother said he did it his way. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, cooking, fishing, camping and Letchworth State Park. He prided himself on being a great husband and father. He was active with Girl Scout Troop #281 helping his daughters get their Gold Awards. The family would like to thank Endwell Family Physicians, Dr. Sze-Tu, Guthrie Oncology, Lourdes Radiation and Hospice for their support and tender care given to Pete during his valiant fight. The family will receive friends Friday 4-7 p.m. at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton, where Rev. Robert Peak, Pastor of Johnson City Presbyterian Church, will officiate a funeral service at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday at 10 a.m. Please light a candle of hope in remembrance of Pete and sign his guestbook at www.chopyak-scheider.com.
