Ross Scribner Obituary
Scribner Jr.
of Smithville Flats
Ross (Skeeter) Scribner, Jr., 48 of Smithville Flats, passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2010 after a snowmobile accident. He is survived by his father and mother, Ross I. and Betty (Valentine) Scribner, Sr. of Smithville Flats; his sisters and brothers in law, Lisa and Al Winter, Jr. of Binghamton, Judy and Jim Hlavaty of Olyphant, PA, and Betty and George Walker of Factoryville, PA; his children, Ross I. Scribner, III and Megan Scribner both of Maine, NY. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Renee Camp of Smithville Flats. Skeeter operated Broken Toe Bluestone Quarry. He was an avid snowmobiler and motorcycle enthusiast. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Funeral services will be held at the Kennedy Funeral Home, 21 N. Chenango St., Greene, NY on Saturday, February 28, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to a fund for his children at Citizen's Bank, Greene, NY.
