Jablonski, Stanley W.

Stanley W. Jablonski, 82, of Binghamton, NY and Dunmore, PA, passed peacefully from this life Friday morning at VNA Hospice at Geisinger/CMC in Scranton following an illness. He will be reunited with his wife, the former Ursula Geadrities, who preceded Stanley in 1991. Born July 8, 1931 in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Stanley and Anna (Pliska) Jablonski. He attended the Scranton public schools and was a graduate of Temple University. Stanley was an Air Force veteran serving as a military policeman. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at IBM as an Automated Equipment Specialist. During his career he was employed by Singer Link and Sears. Stanley enjoyed fishing, camping, and the great outdoors. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Surviving are his son: Stanley D. Jablonski and wife Maureen of Shepherd, TX; his daughter: Jo Anne Potter and husband Gary of Conklin, NY; and his sister: Janice Jablonski of Scranton, PA. Also surviving are two granddaughters: Sarah Howell, her husband Mark, and his son Graydon, along with Jo Elle Potter and her significant other Vincent Lent. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by brothers: William, Joseph and Stephen Jablonski and his sister: Lucille Kohl. A Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul's Church, 1510 Penn Avenue, Scranton, PA. Friends may call Tuesday 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the Howard J. Snowdon Funeral Home, 1810 Sanderson Avenue, Scranton, PA. Military Honors will be performed following the Mass. Interment will be in the Chenango Valley Cemetery, Binghamton, NY.
