Johnson City: Walter S. Piotrowski, 92, of Johnson City, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Veronica Piotrowski; two sisters, Helen Kramnicz and Mary Hatala; also a grandson, Joel Radicchi. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Helen Piotrowski, Johnson City; a sister, Casimira Ceppa, Johnson City; a son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Sandra Piotrowski, Oswego; a daughter and son-in-law, Renee Radicchi Spicer and Steve Spicer, Binghamton; two grandchildren, Corinne Piotter, Clay, NY and Michael Piotrowski, Round Lake, NY; also two great-grandchildren. Walt was a member of The Church of the Holy Trinity. As a child he was an altar boy and as an adult he became a Lector and Eucharistic minister. He was an employee of Endicott-Johnson and later was a US Postal worker, where he was well-liked by the people on his route. Walt was a WWII Coast Guard veteran, an avid golfer, and a loyal fan to the Giants and Yankees. He was a devoted husband and father whose family was very important to him. A Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday at The Church of the Holy Trinity, 346 Prospect St., Binghamton, with Rev. Alfred Bebel officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church from 8:45 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walt's name to The Church of the Holy Trinity.
