What a nice guy and faithful friend. Lenny and I met Art through Senior Softball. He and Lenny were both battling cancer. Their mutual love of sports made for another connection. Art was very supportive of Lenny and for me after Lenny's death. My condolences to Judy and Art's great family. May the good thoughts and prayers of those who cared about Art help you through these days.

I never spent 5 minutes with Art that he didn't make me laugh. A man with a big heart that loved his family.
Art will be missed by anyone that knew him.

The bond that Art had with children could be seen in the faces of those he came in contact with. It was a joy to watch the inter action.
Art had such a joyfull positive attitude. He was there for me during the sadness of loosing my husband 6 years ago. He supported me with kindness comfort, and prayers. I will keep his family close in my heart during this time of healing. I'm so sorry for your loss and sadness.
Art will be greatly missed by the community with his support of CHILDREN and sports, a definate huge loss.
You are in our prayers.

I was lucky to serve on our local American Cancer Society's Volunteer Board of Directors with Art. He was one of the most hardworking, enthusiastic and effective cancer prevention/early intervention educators I've ever known. I worked at several health fairs with him at the American Cancer Society's table and watched him talk to people with kindness and empathy. People listened to Art. As a support group leader, he was always coming up with new and better ways to educate men - and women - about prostate cancer. He was a wonderful man, he helped a lot of people, and he will be missed.

If you knew Art at all...well,you had to love the guy.Although,he did have a few love/hate relationships during our softball years.I was one of the lucky ones to be able to play for him and The Nor-Cal A's.It was some of the best times of my life. You will always remain in my heart, and I will never forget you.I wish I could see you now, because I know you are playing on the biggest softball diamond that you have ever seen...and you are winning!
My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Barri family.

Art battled us in every softball game we played against him. He never gave up until the last out was called. He was a great motivator and always got the best out of his players. You will be missed Art, but your spirit will carry on forever in the sports world.

My Papa will always be my hero. He loved with his whole heart every single day. I met Papa in high school. He often helped me to get into trouble (just the small stuff). As I grew older, he was ALWAYS there with a smile and that special twinkle in his eye when I just needed to know my daddy loved me. And he loved me just the way I was. Just like Jesus does. I'll miss you tons Papa. And I look forward to what you have waiting for us when we join you.
