Marvin E. Wacker

WACKER, Marvin E. - Passed away at home in Penngrove, with his family at his side, on October 7, 2006. Devoted husband of Kay Wacker. Cherished father of Gregory Wacker and his wife Maria, Stephanie Medeiros and her husband Tony, and the late Valerie Orme and her husband James. Loving grandfather of Shelli Orme, Janie Tarca and her husband Joey, Kevin Wacker, Danielle Wacker, Nathan Medeiros, Christopher Wacker and Sarah Medeiros. Loving great grandfather of Jacob Tarca. Caring brother of Berna Lakatos, Ervin Wacker, Earl Wacker, the late Anna Grimm, Lilly Feickert, Elsie Elliot and Idelette Wacker. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Wacker moved to Petaluma in 1942 and made Penngrove his home in 1944. He and his wife Kay have been married for 52 years. The house moving business was started in 1945 and in 1955 Mr. Wacker started working for his father in the family business. He, along with his brother Earl, purchased the business in 1963 and successfully operated it until his retirement in 2000. The business continues to be family owned and operated to this very day. He was a member of the Penngrove Social Firemen and for a number of years served as a volunteer for the Penngrove Fire Dept. Mr. Wacker enjoyed hunting with his family, he was an avid gardener, but by far his greatest accomplishment was his family. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk Street, Petaluma, CA. A visitation will be held on the same day at the mortuary from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, Petaluma, CA.
