Robert Thomas Obituary

THOMAS, Robert F. (Fred) - Age 87, died September 20, 2007 in Napa. Fred was born March 16, 1920 in Santa Rosa. He is survived by Irene, his loving wife of 63 years, and his two sons Don and Jerry, and Jerry's wife Brenda; step grand-children, several cousins and numerous other relatives. He also leaves behind many great friends and neighbors. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Righetti of Yountville, and his brother Dr. Don Thomas, DDS. He worked as welder at Mare Island during World War II. After that he was a roofing foreman for Roy Stubbs Roofing and Modern Method Roofing Companies from which retired in 1980. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed RV'ing with his wife and many friends. He also enjoyed golfing and gardening and a true love of all animals. Fred could fix just about anything, a real "jack of all trades." He was a member of the local chapter of SIR's 65. Fred's life will be remembered with funeral services Wednesday, September 26 at 1:00 p.m. at Richard Pierce Funeral Service, 1660 Silverado Trail, Napa, CA. Visiting hours for Fred will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 25 from noon to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at Tulocay Cemetery, Napa Leave condolences at www.rpfsc.com.
