Arnold Young Obituary

Young, Dr. Arnold, - 86, of Egg Harbor Township, formerly of Elkins Park, PA, died on May 5, 2024. Beloved husband of Harriet Young (nee Romm), loving father of Rabbi Sharon (John) Marcus and Kenneth Young, Esq. Devoted Poppop to Becky and Noa Marcus, Sedona and Dustin Young and dear brother to Ted (Florence) Young. Arnold was a proud graduate of Camden High School. He received his Bachelors, Master's and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Temple University, where he met his loving wife of 62 years, Harriet, who was working in the Psychology Department at the time. Throughout Arnold's long career, he specialized in working with children with learning disabilities, geriatric patients in nursing homes, and maintained a private practice in his home for over 40 years. He was always devoted to his patients. Arnold and Harriet moved down the shore 19 years ago, where Arnold enjoyed, as he always said, fishing not catching, and spending time with family. Followed by Shiva at his late residence. Contributions in his memory may be made to URJ Camp Harlam (Campharlam.org), Beth Israel, 2501 Shore Rd, Northfield, NJ 08225 or Rabbi Sharon Marcus' Discretionary Fund, Park Synagogue, 27500 Shaker Blvd., Pepper Pike, OH. 44122.
