Compton Beresford Obituary



BERESFORD, COMPTON AUGUSTUS 71 - of Pleasantville, departed this life and went to be with the Lord on December 27, 2005 a the Atlantic City Hospital. Compton was born in Guyana South America and migrated to the United States of America in 1971. He was formerly employed by the Sands Casino. He was a member of St. Paul's A.M.E. Church of Pleasantville where he was a member of the trustee board. He served faithfully and loved working for the Lord. He was caring and loving to all. Compton leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Doris Beresford, children Michael, David, Phillip, stepchildren Lisa, Kevin and Michael, five sisters, Sheila, Yvonne, Cleo, Winifred, Janice and their husbands, one brother Rev. Richard Beresford and wife, 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Compton' viewing on Friday December 30, 2005 at 7:00 pm-9:00 pm and the Going Home Service on Saturday December 31, 2005 at 11:00 am. Both occasions will be held at the St. Paul's A.M.E. Church, 1103 Harrison Ave, Pleasantville. Interment will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery Egg Harbor Township. Arrangements are done by the Adams Perfect Funeral Home.
