Cynthia Trapp Obituary

Trapp, Cynthia A., - 59, of Atlantic City, was born to the late Reverend Clifford E. Trapp and Mrs. Marvin E. Trapp, a pastor and a musician/homemaker, in Atlantic City, on December 9, 1962. She was immersed in the Christian community that would be her lifelong support from an early age. Cynthia graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1981 and later graduated from Ashford University with a dual bachelors degree in organizational management/communications and business. She worked for the Pleasantville Board of Education for over 20 years. She was blessed with a large and loving family and has always been involved in her community. Cynthia raised three children with patience, discipline and humility. Though Cynthia only had three children of her own, she has been a mother and mentor to children all over Atlantic County and beyond. She was a woman of many talents and a true matriarch of her community. She was kind and out spoken, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. Cynthia is survived by her children, TaRarra Hill (Brian), Dayion Trapp, and Terrell Trapp; her grandchildren, Jermaine Oatman, Jr., Terrell Trapp, Jr., Arian Hill, Ryan Hill, and Ashly Torres; and her sisters, Maxine Trapp (Tony) and Sonia Trapp-Logan. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones and her community. Homegoing Services will be held at 11AM Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Faith Baptist Church, 829 Tilton Road, Pleasantville, where friends may view from 10AM. Burial in Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville. Arrangements by Jennings Funeral Home, Pleasantville.

May God bless your family in your time of mourning and grief. I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Ms. Cynthia Trapp, what now feels like many years ago while on PBOE. I always appreciated her strong voice of concern and ability to fluently speak her mind. Truly one of the strongest, admirable, and sincere individuals I have ever had the pleasure of knowing within this life. May you find eternal happiness within the kingdom of Heaven in Jesus Mighty name.

My condolences go out to Cynthia and her family during this time of loss. Cindy was truly a great mother, grandmother co worker and friend. We shared many a time talking Union stuff together. I will never forget how she touched so many lives and how she supported me in my election as PEA President in 2019. This is truly a shock as she attended my Visual and Performing Arts Meeting May 12th along with our friend Tamar Lasure-Owens and we were laughing and joking as we always did. RIP Angel. Love you always and forever.

So very sorry to hear of Cynthia's passing. I did not know her, but knew she came from a great family. I met DeMarva a few years ago through the Pleasantville school system. I had history with her sister Delorise. Delorise and I got our second job together on the boardwalk many when we were very young and would stop at Kents restaurant where their mom worked and change into our boardwalk job uniform. Cynthia is now resting with GOD and FAMILY in Heaven. May this give you COMFORT.

To Sonia & Family: I was truly saddened to learn of Cynthia´s passing. I´ve just finished watching her beautiful service. I grew up with Delorise, DeMarva, Lady & Clifford when we lived next door on Connecticut Ave. I met you & Cynthia @ PHS when I was secretary to Mr. Carrington. Prayers that God will continue to be a source of comfort to all of you.

I had the pleasure of working with Cynthia and she was one of the most genuine person I have met! Her commitment to the Parent Liaison program at PBOE which is how we crossed paths where she stood out in my training classes and took the software very serious. I also loved her excitement for life, love and happiness for herself and others! Some people when they leave this earth, they can never be replaced and she is truly one of them. God Bless the Family!

What a tremendous loss! Not only to her twin Sonia, the entire Trapp Family but the to the Greater Atlantic City community and Pleasantville as well. Will always have fond memories of Cynthia out at Stockton University, in Upward Bound during the Summer of 1979. Your service to the community was excellent. Rest in power.
