Dolores Ann Boney

1931 - 2022

Boney, Dolores Ann, - 91, of Mays Landing, beloved Mother, Granny and GGB peacefully passed away at her home on August 17, 2022. Dolores was born July 24, 1931 to Augustus and Marie Capille of Bargaintown. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Gene Boney of Pleasantville, son and daughter-in-law Bill and Diane Boney and son-in-law Larry Ford. She is survived by her children, Richard (Barbara), Connie, Debra and Gene (Rick), grandchildren Rich, Jenny (Tiger), Larry, Michael, and Becky (Charlie) and great-grandchildren Richie, Reec, Ayden and Rachael. Our Mom lived an extraordinary ordinary life. Raised in Bargaintown, she was the oldest girl in a family of 15 children during the depression. She met her lifelong love, Gene, while working at the Stocking factory in Pleasantville. After they were married they moved to Northfield and began building a family of their own. Mom was the cornerstone of all our family traditions. She was our family's sounding board, our connection to each other, and our life's witness. She loved spending time with her family, from the big holiday meals to the seemingly endless birthdays or just going for a ride with any of us, especially if it was to her favorite place, the casino! She always left us with a wave and "bye for now" at her door. After raising their children, Gene and Dolores retired to Mays Landing. Dolores spent her time enjoying her grandkids and great-grand kids, being a Cologne Fire Lady and the number one groupie for the Gene Boney Big Band Orchestra. Our mother was completely devoted to her family. Her love and dedication for her family was immeasurable. She was a born caregiver, full of love and compassion. We will carry her love with us throughout our lives and beyond. "Bye for now" our sweet mom, we look forward to our reunion in heaven. Services will be private.
