Elmer Dolqueist, Jr., age 77 of Absecon, NJ passed away on September 28, 2024 from a brief illness in AtlantiCare Mainland Campus with his family by his side. He was the beloved son of the late Elmer Dolqueist Sr. and Dorothy (Day) Dolqueist. Elmer was married to his wife Linda and they enjoyed 54 years of marriage together. They were high school sweethearts and dated for six years before getting married so really together a total of 60 years. They had two wonderful children, Andrea and Michael. Elmer is survived by his wife, soulmate and best friend Linda, also survived by his beloved daughter, Andrea and her husband Walter (Buddie) Kurman. Also, his son and best bud, Michael and his wife Jill (Fox) Dolqueist. Also survived by his beloved twin granddaughter's, Avery & Madelyn Kurman who called Elmer, Poppy. And his much loved grandsons, William & Elmer Dolqueist, who called Elmer, Grandpop, and a bonus granddaughter, Abigail Ford who also called Elmer, Grandpop. His sister in-law Julie Fields (Serge) His sister, Nancy (Dolqueist) Most and many nieces and nephews. And his best fur friend, his kitty Baloo and Elmer was his person, so Baloo will be lost without his Dad…! Deceased family members, Elmer's father & mother Elmer, Sr. and Dorothy (Day) Dolqueist; and his father and mother in-law, Rudy & Julie Schoenberg; and his maternal grandmother, Angeline McCaffrey. A gathering will be held Friday October 4th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a service to begin at 12 p.m. at the Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Rd., Galloway NJ 08205.
