Judith Schwartz Obituary

Schwartz, Judith Ann Dumrauf, - 72, of Ventnor, NJ, Memories do a bit to fill the space left behind. Judith was born in Elizabeth, NJ on July 28, 1949, The daughter of Warren Dumrauf and Genevieve Bardyszewski, and a sister to Warren Dumrauf. She married Murray Schwartz after she hit him with a golf ball while enjoying a newfound hobby and lovingly became a mother to Yoni, Alissa, Danny, Annie, Josh and Roubina Schwartz, and a loving grandmother to Olivia, Leo, Elijah, Zacari, LilaGirl and RicoSuave. Always driven to succeed, not needing the spotlight, Judith graduated from Locust Valley High in Long Island, and Johns Hopkins Business School before beginning a lifelong career in hospitality in Baltimore. But these were all stops before a splendid career with the Four Seasons Hotel. Judith boldly opened brand new Four Season Hotels in Atlanta and Baltimore and forged incredible friendships along those journeys. She quietly observed, listened, and learned to calmly handle and resolve issues. She carried that characteristic into her personal life…to the end. We fall into this picture at some point, all the loved ones reading this life letter. Family members and friends who became family were so treasured by her. Memories made and bonds forged along this journey - she will endure in all of our hearts. Judy traveled often, embraced new cultures, painted and drew, offering a glimpse into her persona. It was a passion that was after much practice rewarded with honors. She appreciated birding and tap dancing, and guessing the total of a dinner check within the dollar. There was a fierceness that was disguised in composure that often set her apart in competition. She routinely was at the head of her class or her work life, but you wouldn't know, her success was a secret. Judy lived in peace and now rests, forever yours, in the memories we keep. Yes, the space left behind is sad, but together we can fill it, on August 2nd at the Ventnor Cultural Arts Center at 4pm, followed by a walk to the beach, then finally to the Wonder Bar in Atlantic City for sunset at 6pm.

The first thought that comes to mind is Judith's smile and when she wore my favorite red color blazer. We always shared a hug, and I loved her Murray's full of life relationship. They were always a fun loving couple. You are missed.

I'm truly sorry to hear about Judith's passing! She was such an amazing person and she was truly helpful to me and my wife during are wedding. I was a bellman on Sunday's for 17 years, and was fortunate to get to know Judith and Murray. They always supported and came out to the Four Seasons Philly softball games. Truly missed, but not forgotten. Thoughts and prayers to her family! Sunday Joe
