Martin R. Carroll III

Carroll III, Martin R., - 68, of Egg Harbor City, died on Sunday, August 22, 2021 following a brief illness. Marty was born on March 18, 1953 in Philadelphia, PA to Trudy I. and Martin R. Carroll, Jr. He spent his early years in the Kensington section of Philadelphia before moving to New Jersey when he was a teenager. Marty worked as a drywall foreman for several different companies in New Jersey. Marty loved classic cars and was a former member of Cruisin' Classics Auto Club in Hammonton, New Jersey. He enjoyed traveling with C and Bea Tours and Cruises especially the Mystery Day trip. Marty was a proud son, brother, uncle, great-uncle, nephew and godfather. He was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his sisters, Trudy E. Carroll, Sandra Ordille (George), all of Egg Harbor City and Kathy Johnson (Keith) of London, England. He is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews, Melissa Ordille, Rachel Ordille Pauro, Christopher Black, Matthew Ordille (Paige), Damian Johnson, Sean Johnson, Brian Johnson, and Christian Johnson and 6 great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his maternal aunt, Patricia Stroble of Keene, New Hampshire, his paternal uncle, Frederick Carroll of Winder, Georgia; and his goddaughter, Alice Carroll of Winder, Georgia. A gathering will be held on Thursday, September 2 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wimberg Funeral Home, 400 Liverpool Ave, Egg Harbor City 609-965-0357.
