Forrest Harris, my delightful student. I have always remembered him as one of my stand-out student because he was compassionate, wise, helpful, and most important "teachable" It is hard for me to believe that our paths never crossed when he visited Petersburg; however, his mother and I talked often and she would bring me up to date on how things were going with him. She knew that I held him deep within my heart and would ask if his smile was as beautiful as it was when I taught him. Peace and love to all of the members of his family at this very painful time.

My sincere condolences are expressed to the Harris family for your loss. Although I haven't seen Forrest for many years, we attended both elementary and high school together and I will never forget our association. May the love of family and friends carry you through your grief.

Joyce,
It was with a very heavy heart that I heard about Harry's passing. We worked in the same office in D.C. Harry always had such a lovely sense of humor. I know that he was going though a lot at that time but he always seemed to see the bright side of life. I will certainly pray for the repose of his soul and for you and his family. God bless you!

Mrs. Hester Harris & Family
I know that this is a difficult time for you and your family. But, please be assured that you and your family can depend on his word for Comfort. Take comfort in knowing that God is in total control. God never hurts us needlessly, Our father tests us often with suffering and with sorrow, but he tests us not to punish us, just to help us meet tomorrow.
God bless

MY SECRET GARDEN
I go into my secret garden
To dream and hope and pray;
The beauty of flowers found there
Almost takes my breath away.
The roses bloom profusely
All attended by busy bees;
The fragrance is so sweet
Spanish moss clings to trees.
I sit quietly on a bench
Around me the nature sounds;
I lean back and close my eyes
While such peace abounds.
God must have designed this place
Surely it is so close to paradise;
I feel as if I were floating
Heaven must be like this, I surmise.
We all need a secret garden
Where we can go when stressed;
To commune with God and nature
And come away feeling blessed.
