JAMES BROYLES Obituary

Retired Sgt. Maj. James Franklin Broyles lost his battle with cancer on June 1, 2012.

He was born in Nashville, Tenn., on Nov. 1, 1944. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1966, and retired as a sergeant major in 1990 and retired from civil service in 2011. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Washington Street United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Celia Broyles; daughters, Tammie Broyles, Tonya Robinson, Stephanie Bouldin; son, Eric Cavey; grandchildren, Justin and Jeremy West, Gabrielle Robinson, Lauren Bouldin, Ava and Aiden Cavey; great-grandson: Joseph West.

Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Fort Lee Memorial Chapel, 1900 Sisisky Blvd., with full military honors. Immediately following will be a friends and family reception.
