KEITH D. LYONS

On Friday night, April 29, 2016, God in his infinite wisdom called home our dad, son, brother, uncle and friend, Keith Donnell Lyons, "SLOPE." Keith was born on January 7, 1962, to the late James Lee Lyons Sr. and Odelia Brooks Lyons. He was also predeceased by his grandparents, Floyd and Sarah Brooks, and James and Louise Lyons.

Keith was baptized at an early age by the Rev Dr. Clyde Johnson, Sr. at First Baptist Church, Harrison Street. Keith was a graduate of Petersburg High School Class of 1981 and was well known for his athletic skills. He was employed at EC Food Service, Fort Lee, Va., until his health declined.

So many memories are left to cherish. We find comfort in knowing that Keith is resting peacefully, however, he will be truly missed. Keith is survived by a loving son, Keith Donnell Brooks; a loving and dedicated mother, Odelia Lyons; a loving and devoted brother and sister-in-law James Lyons, Jr. (Linda); his loving and devoted sister-mom, Janice Lyons Drew; one grandson, Keith Jr.; three loving and devoted nieces that he was so proud of that loved him unconditionally, Tequita Lyons Hawkins (Dell), Candace Drew and Jessica Drew; his forever dedicated brother-in-law, Arthur Drew; three uncles, Lawrence Lyons, Rudy Lyons (Lois) and Joseph Lyons, Sr. (Gladys); two aunts, Eva Baxter and Julia Batts; two step-nieces, Tychonna and Teshema Urquhart; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Mr. Keith D. Lyons will be held at 12 noon Saturday, May 7, 2016, at the Chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, Va., the Rev. Dr. Clyde Johnson, Sr., eulogist. Interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.

The family will assemble at 11 a.m. the day of the service and receive friends at 21435 Bridle Path Drive, South Chesterfield, Va.
