My sincere thoughts are with you at this time & want to thank you, his family, for sharing his time, energy, assistance, knowledge, encouragement and kindness with others throughout his life. I met Bob 49 years ago ( 1st auto loan at age 17) have been in this area all my life including a career in financial services dealing with banks & other financial institutions as clients, and have never heard anyone say anything derogatory about Bob Blankenship. So I encourage you to cherish great memories and take comfort in the pride you can have from the life he lived & the respect he had from so many. You were blessed and fortunate to see it & be a part of it up closer than most of us.

I met Bob in the late 1950's, when I was Collection Mgr. for State Planters Bank in Richmond. He and I made a trip to NC to repossess farm equipment, a trip I will never forget. He could be funnier than a comedian and I will always remember his wit. He was just a very nice person to know. My condolences to his family.

Heaven just gained another beautiful voice, that Ettrick Methodist Choir gained another voice in heaven. I know they are singing loudly, rejoicing with their newest member. Some of my fondest memories are of those smiling faces singing those beautiful hymns. My thoughts & prayers are with all of the family, God Bless each of you.
