Wallace Parham Obituary
He was born in Sussex, Va., on Jan. 18, 1965. He attended the public schools of Sussex County. He was a member of the class of 1983. After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Army, serving in the 82nd Airborne. He was employed with Alcoa (Reynolds) Packing Plant in Chester, Va., for 11 years.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Galilee Baptist Church, Stony Creek, Va., where he was a member of the Male Chorus and Mass Choir.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife, Monica Parham; his children, Kierstin Smith, Shanel Parham and Devon Parham, all of Petersburg, Va.; six grandchildren; parents, Alexander and Mary E. Parham of Jarratt, Va.; two brothers, Alex Parham (Delores) of Hopewell, Va., Leviticus Parham (Veronica) of Disputanta, Va.; three sisters, Paulette Washington of Williamsburg, Va., Shiela Baker and Miranda Hall, both of Jarratt, Va.; mother-in-law, Ann Warmack of Utica, N.Y.; three brothers-in-law; two aunts; four great-aunts; six uncles; four great-uncles; five nieces; seven nephews; two great-nieces; one great-nephew; a host of cousins, neighbors, coworkers and friends, a devoted cousin, Phyllis Prosise.
A homegoing celebration service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Galilee Baptist Church, 12392 Lee Ave., Stony Creek, Va., with Rev. Dr. Linwood A. James Sr., pastor, officiating. Interment to follow in the Mason Cemetery. Mr. Parham will be placed in the church one hour prior to service. Repass will be omitted. Family and friends will meet at Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Parham's, 9241 Marion Ave. Jarratt, Va., (434) 535-9399.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the staff of Jones-Peace Funeral Service, 13013 Park Ave., Stony Creek, VA 23882, (434) 246-3171.

My co-workers and I at the Reymet branch of Partners Financial FCU were shocked to here of Wallace's passing. We will miss seeing his smiling face every week. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. May God Bless you and comfort you during this time.

Mr. Alexander and Mrs Mary...to say that I am shocked is putting it mildly. My heart goes to you for the loss of Wallace and as someone who has recently lost a child, I know what you are going through. What I can say to you is that God is in control, He knows your pain and sorrow and if you just hold onto His hand, He will give the strength to get through this and He will never leave or forsake you.
