I will never forget the sound of Dr. Parker's voice as he prayed so intimately to the Father. I always felt as if I were eavesdropping on his private time with God. He was a compassionate, caring and sincere man with a sense of humor. He truly loved God and I know, without a doubt, that he is today in paradise. May God comfort the family at this time of sorrow.

I too have known Dr. Parker as a fellow clergyman, educator, and friend, and most of all as a comedian. I will surely miss our long talks about pedagogy and religion, his oratorical prowess, his smile, his love for Red Lobster and the word "piece", and his humanity. I am strengthened today by memories of the inner strength he had during his last few months as he continued to teach, pressed to be with and enjoy his family, and complete his mission on Earth despite his health.Truly, this was a remarkable homecoming for a remarkable man. May he rest in peace and my thought and prayers will be with his family always. I write sincerely. -Pastor Ronald L. White, Philippians Christian Fellowship and colleague in the Department of Mathematics at Norfolk State University.

To the family of Dr.Parker,
My heart goes out to you at this time of sorrow. No words can ever explain what a great and gracious man Mr. Bill was. I met him through my Mother, Rev. Juanita Davis, who called him one of her closest friends. Every time I saw Mr. Bill, he had a smile on his face and a kind word of encouragement to give to anyone. I know all of his hard work has its reward now that he is sitting at Jesus's feet, listening to the Master's Word. Be encourage, even though it seems hard right now.

From: Dr. Archie W. Earl, Sr., Department of Mathematics, NORFOLK STATE UNIVERSITY
I am sorry to hear about the passing of my esteemed colleague, Dr. William H. Parker, Jr. We co-authored a chapter in a mathematics textbook, which was published by Pearson/Addison-Wesley Publishing Company. He was indeed one of NORFOLK STATE UNIVERSITY’s outstanding mathematics professors. I know that, today, he is gloriously happy and rejoicing in heaven.
My God continue to bless and strengthen you during you time of loss.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Bill. Bill was a long time friend that I met at Saint Paul's College. We were both chemistry majors and had most classes together and graduated in 1968 together. We have always kept in touch and talked by phone just before Alumni Weekend on May 8. He was truly a friend, fellow clergyman, and educator. He was a friend of the Jones Family. I shall miss his friendship. May God Bless each of you and give you the strength to deal with a tremendous loss.
